Hurricanes & ‘Climate Change’
On the heels of the devastation to lives, property, and livelihoods, caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, primarily in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, the chants rose up again that the numerous and severe hurricanes are the direct result of ‘climate change.’
Given that our climates are seemingly changing, as they have through the centuries, since the beginning of time, climate variances are the direct result of planetary alignments, volcanic eruptions, ocean variables, and other factors totally dictated by, and under the ultimate control of Mother Nature and her ultimate CEO, God Almighty.
Yes, climate variations originate from well above us, and not from among us. Which is not at all what our D.C. administration “leaders” want us to believe. Progressive Democrats in power want us convinced beyond doubt that hurricanes like Helene & Milton have resulted directly from abhorrent citizen behaviors like: Gasoline-powered vehicles, fossil fuel-powered planes, trains and ships; natural gas appliances; gas-driven lawn mowers, etc. All fossil fuels are the work of the devil, and thus we civilians are marked as sinners for their use.
This administration desperately needs for America’s citizens to know, understand, and believe that it is the carbon dioxide and other gases we uncaringly release into the atmosphere, through our greedy insistence on using all of the transportation resources and devices mentioned above, that seemingly causes more severe hurricanes, tornadoes floods, etc. If only we would all then just literally power-down, kick fossil fuels to the curb, and luxuriate in inefficient wind and solar power, then nature’s fury would abate, if not cease altogether.
The administration needs for us to march to their non-fossil-fuels tune, so that those in federal power and control can continue to dump billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars into the outstretched hands of all manner of “Green” projects, all too often, perhaps, going to politically-aligned donors, some of which projects may be seemingly legitimate alternative energy projects/potentials. But too frequently, it seems, funding for hopes-and-dreams projects/causes too often prove to be make-believe and/or eventually, through lack of viability, go under. We all make mistakes. But when the U.S. Government makes “Green” investing mistakes, the cost is in misspent billions of dollars (as with, for instance, in unending illegal migrant handouts), dragging our national fiscal wellbeing even further into the red, aggravating and threatening our increasingly insurmountable and, thus, fragile national debt.
Shortly after Hurricane Helene delivered such destruction and loss of lives, Mr. Biden called on Americans to “put politics aside” and concentrate our energies on recovery. So far so good. But then he reportedly went on to say that “anyone who doubts (here it comes) climate change’s role in the disaster must be brain dead.” In the midst of all that terrible destruction, the woke cheerleaders for ‘mankind is the cause of climate change’ are back in business.
The fact is that natural disasters are simply not the result of mankind’s use of fossil fuels. We had bad weather events occurring in America long before Henry Ford started manufacturing gasoline-fueled Model T’s in coal burning, smoke-billowing factories. In the words of Dr. Neil Frank, former longtime head of the National Hurricane Center: “There is no evidence suggesting we are seeing more hurricanes than ever (over the past 170 years of records). Neither the frequency nor intensity of hurricanes has changed over the years.” Meteorologist Brian Sussman comments: “While many attempt to falsely connect hurricanes to anthropogenic climate change, the truth is these monster storms are a natural and necessary function of our planet’s atmosphere.” Scientist Gregory Wrightstone ads his opinion regarding the dire warnings about manmade climate change: “Not only is there not a climate crisis, contrary to that we find that Earth’s ecosystems are thriving and prospering, and humanity is benefiting from modest warming and more CO2. Just the opposite of what you’re being told.” So why then would this administration be so dead set on pushing the climate change falsity, in the face of scientific fact? We all know the reason, but here’s Gregory Wrightstone’s response: “Well, they (Biden government) need to instill fear on the minds of the population. And the reason they’re doing is going to be controlling every aspect of our lives. Stripping away our freedoms of choice. They don’t want you to choose what kind of vehicle to drive or choose how to heat or cool your home.”
Continuing with Gregory Wrightstone’s learned observations, these from a different article: “Having virtually no scientific basis, the GREEN movement’s hostility to carbon dioxide seemingly ignores the gas’s critical role as a plant food.” The obvious benefits of CO2 are “an embarrassment to the large and profitable movement to ‘save the planet’ from ‘carbon pollution.’ If CO2 greatly benefits agriculture and forestry, and has a small benign effect on climate, it is not a pollutant at all. The positive contribution of carbon dioxide to the human condition should be cause for celebration.”
And continuing in opposition to the ‘save the planet’ crowd, Canadian academic and culture war crusader, Dr. Jordan Peterson contributes the following learned thoughts: “The influx of carbon dioxide from the fossil fuel industry into the atmosphere is actually a net ecological good. In the last 20-years alone, the planet has greened by an area factor of 20-percent.” In layman’s terms, CO2 benefits plant & tree growth, plants and trees then produce oxygen, which is vital for human growth!
Perhaps the GREEN zealots should be directing their attention beyond just America to some other countries guilty of ever increasing their negative emissions as the result of burning COAL for energy production. Countries still most heavily involved with coal-fired power generation include China and India, each with plans to build even more coal burning plants! “Five Asian countries account for 80% of new coal power investment.” One might think that world attention should focus more on those counties, rather than hammering the comparatively far fewer coal burning plants here at home.
While the GREENies want to greatly decrease CO2 emissions, which they continually preach are destructive for the nation and a leading cause of their concluded human-produced “climate change,” the scientific facts simply don’t align with their (i.e., Government & media voices) stated assumptions. There is no climate crisis. So then, what’s really going on here? Well, you already know the true motive. It’s to dictate government-acceptable power generation sources to the nation, which does not include our almost total dependence on fossil fuels (and we will be for generations to come, regardless). Liberal government’s endgame isn’t a cleaner environment. It’s all about power and control over our energy producers and especially over citizen free choice (e.g., Gasoline vehicles vs. Electric). And not only the type of vehicles we’d prefer to own and drive, but control over our household appliances as well.
And that’s a large part of what’s at stake in this upcoming national election. Do we want even more dictates from Father Government which seems to know, in all things, what’s best for us….and, of course, what’s best for themselves in our current ultra-liberal, self-centered, politically infested federal government! ‘Climate change,’ the kind supposedly caused by human behavior, is a purely political creation intended to maintain, and increase, power and control within one governing party. It will continue and worsen, unless Americans votes to unshackle ourselves from this unnecessary, burdensome, federal tax dollar wasting, and freedom-stealing top-down control. The choice for our future, right now, is more than clear. Vote next month, and for the sake of you and your families, please vote Republican !!
