Winn Army Community Hospital Change of Command

This morning (7-16-20) at Marne Garden on Fort Stewart, the U.S. Army Medical Department hosted a change of command ceremony between COL Michelle Munroe and incoming commander COL Julie J. Freeman.

COL Munroe served as Winn’s first female commander, leading the facility’s efforts to assist the area through tornados, Hurricane Michael, and the coronavirus epidemic.  COL Freeman comes to Winn following her service as the Assistant Deputy for Medical Affairs in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs), and previously as Medical Surgical Department Chief at Fort Belvoir’s Community Hospital in Virginia.  The ceremony was conducted virtually, airing live on Winn’s FB channel.
