Winn Army Community Hospital Change of Command
Today (13 July 2018) is an historic one for Winn ACH serving Fort Stewart. For the first time in its 36-year history, the hospital will be led by an all-female command team. Colonel Michelle Munroe officially takes command today from transitioning commander, COL Christopher Warner.
Assisting COL Munroe on her all-female command team will be a command sergeant major, executive officer, company commander and first sergeant. Don’t know, but this might be a first for the Army, or at least for Army hospitals.
COL Warner has certainly left a positive imprint on Winn during his time in command, opening the first MEDDAC Level 4 trauma center there, in addition to a renovated outpatient clinic, and opening a new outpatient pharmacy, among other accomplishments. Best wishes to COL Warner and to COL Munroe as they begin their new Army assignments. (Information Source: Winn ACH Public Affairs)
