Promotion of U.S. Army COL(P) Kevin Lambert

On Friday, September 2nd, a strong gathering of family, friends, and fellow soldiers at Fort Stewart’s Cashe Garden witnessed the promotion of COL Kevin Lambert to the rank of Brigadier General.  BG Lambert received his commission from the ROTC program at North Georgia College in 1993. A veteran of several combat deployments, BG Lambert has now served America’s great Army for 29-years.  He is currently the Third Infantry Division’s Deputy Commanding General for Maneuver.

Following remarks by MG Charles Costanza, Commanding General, Third I.D., MG Mark Landes, Commanding General, First Army Division East, spoke about his long Army association with Kevin Lambert, and described what it takes in today’s Army to earn promotion to senior levels. Following his remarks, MG Landes presided over the promotion ceremony.  BG Lambert then spoke about his family, some of his key Army associations and events throughout his career, and what the United States Army has meant to him.

The ceremony concluded with the singing of the Dog Faced Soldier song and the Army song.  BG Lambert’s reception was held at the Fort Stewart Museum, immediately following the ceremony.  BG Lambert will continue his duties here with the Third I.D. until the early summer of 2023.
