Let It Rip!

During his State of the Union address, despite the dark and threatening storm  clouds of impeachment, while successfully functioning for the full length of his presidency, President Trump let it rip about the nation’s prosperity, the greatness of his fellow Americans, both generally and there specifically, and, overall, the blessings that God has graciously bestowed upon our incredible country.

Then like the worst behaving child in any setting, Damn Nan (hamlet in South Vietnam) chose to make a national fool of herself, far more than usual, by purposely, after the President concluded, letting his speech rip!  And with the nation’s television cameras focused on her, to the cheers of her fellow lady Lib-Dems in their cherished white-coats, she proudly displayed the torn pages with the self-satisfied smirk-smile of someone who’d just won a hard-fought spelling bee composed only of one-syllable words. Wrote the New York Post’s Michael Goodwin: “Pelosi once again charged into the canon fire after the speech, her only weapon her personal hatred of the commander-in-chief.”

This is the same Democrat “leader” who also wants the voting age lowered to 16.  Said she: “I think it’s really important to capture kids when they’re in high school, when they’re interested in all of this when they’re learning about government, to be allowed to vote.”  If we thought any of that was true, perhaps it might be considered.  But it isn’t.  That’s one really big problem today: Too many “kids” now aren’t actually, factually, learning about government, or even true American history, if at all, so we are producing a generation or two of young people woefully ignorant about America’s past and present reality, who see capitalism as evil, and who blindly desire this idyllic socialism they’ve had pumped into their impressionable heads.  Oh, and if they can vote at 16, how about being able to join our military at that age? Or how about, no matter the crime, 16-year olds being charged as adults, regardless, and if convicted, sent to adult prisons?  Her rationale is just more bravo sierra.  It has nothing to do with exposing young people to the American system of government.  Along with the open borders lunacy, it’s simply another way of jamming-in even more voters beholden to the progressive party, increasing by millions the number of non-thinking, non-comprehending “deplorables,” all convinced, via brain-washing, to think Bernie Sanders is just what this not-so-great-after-all country needs. And, by he way, that’s the day conservatism dies.

In spite of Mr. Romney, the dangerous, precedent-setting impeachment fiasco/hoax/sham is now over.  Hopefully, the Lib-Dems can now do something worthwhile, rather than dragging their persistent nation-damaging effort any further (pipe dream?), thereby allowing the President to continue his terrific, productive leadership of the world’s greatest country.  You’ll recall the opposition party beating their respective chests about the need for “fairness,” and bleating “cover-up,” when they didn’t get their way, regarding calling “witnesses” they failed to get, during the House majority’s ridiculous, extended, completely unfair procedures.  On that key issue of House unfairness, the Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel expressed some astute thoughts: “Democrats broke every standard of due process, transparency, and fairness in their House investigation, making a mockery of their Constitutional duty. They held secret depositions, barring more than ¾’s of House members, as well as the press and the American public.”  Fairness, it’s obvious, was never a concern for House leadership.

Part of the President’s SOTU speech dealt with the tremendous, record-setting improvements in the nation’s employment during the previous three-years of this administration.  The news is unprecedented.  Said the President: “The unemployment rate for African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, and Asian-Americans has reached the lowest level in history.  African-American youth unemployment has reached an all-time low. African-American poverty has declined to the lowest rate ever recorded.  The unemployment rate for women reached the lowest level in almost 70 years, and last year, women filled 72-percent of all new jobs added.  The veteran unemployment rate dropped to a record low. And the unemployment rate for disabled Americans has reached an all-time low.” Currently, private sector job growth in January marked “the best monthly gain in more than five years,” adding 291,000 jobs, when 156,00 had been expected.

Despite the continuing name-calling spouting from the still-angry-about-2016 opposition, and despite a year that began under a Lib-Dem-imposed very dark cloud, clear blue skies certainly appear to be ahead for our nation, and especially with the President’s hoped-for re-election in November.

To underscore the upbeat feeling that thinking Americans are finally allowed to more fully enjoy, and quoting further, in part, from the conclusion of the President’s SOTU speech: “We are Americans.  We are the pioneers. We are the pathfinders.  We settled the new world, we built the modern world, and we changed history forever by embracing the eternal truth that everyone is made equal by the hand of Almighty God.  America is the place where anyone can rise. And where…the most incredible dreams come true!  We look to tomorrow and see unlimited frontiers just waiting to be explored. The American Age, the American epic, the American Adventure, has only just begun!  Our spirit is still young; the sun is still rising; God’s grace is still shining; and my fellow Americans, the best is yet to come!

With his remarkable speech, called by some the best he’s ever done, and the best SOTU speech some commentators say they have heard in their lifetimes, our Commander in Chief,  President Trump, really let it rip right back, when it comes to our America, our present, and especially, our bright, limitless-opportunity future.  The things that really count for most Americans, or certainly should. While, on the other hand, Mrs. Pelosi’s sad rip display echoes only in that nearby dumpster, where those foolishly shredded scraps of paper now dwell, while the memory of her child-like defiant action will last, as she would defiantly say, “forever.”
