Bonkers, Blather, Blunders, & Buffoons #45 (2025)
Recently, while appearing on MSNBC’s “Dateline,” the former Mayor of New Orleans Mitch Landrieu reportedly said on air that: “Donald Trump is a traitor to this country. He is taking us down a path that is not good for the country.” That’s a mighty disparaging thing to say about a President who loves America and chooses to serve us because he does. Speaking of the term “traitor,” how about the Biden team’s decision to open our southern border and clearly encourage millions of illegals to cross into the United States costing, taxpayers billions of dollars a year in care, feeding, and free stuff, purely for the political desire to ensure millions of additional Democrat voters in the years to come. Knowingly inviting hordes of illegals to openly violate our federal immigration laws, causing serious safety, security, financial, and health issues, would seem to be a real potential definition of a national administrative traitor. Then, there’s the outrageous level of national spending over the last four years for all manner of political issues and groups, that helped greatly to trigger punitive inflation. And politically imposing DEI (racial/gender preferences vs. merit) on our schools, universities, businesses and government. All of that and more might well be described as traitorous actions initiated by the ‘America Last’ prior administration. Labeling ‘America First’ President Trump as a traitor is both totally inaccurate, wholly inappropriate, and shameful.
Continuing with the reckless, without substance Leftist attacks, Representative Hank Johnson (D-GA) reportedly claimed last week that President Trump and the MAGA movement want “Black Americans confined back to picking cotton” by cutting back the Department of Education, cutting any supplemental funding for public education from the federal level, and encouraging local school choice (i.e., alternatives to public schooling). With critics of government waste saying for years that the federal education department is unneeded, since most public education funding comes from local school districts and from the states, his claim and concerns about federal funding cuts in education seemingly rings hollow. Case in point, in Chatham County Georgia, an upcoming election to increase local taxation support for area public schools (ESPLOST) will likely pass, as area parents do care about providing adequate funding for local schools. He needn’t worry, irrationally, about Black children needing to stop being properly, publicly educated and having to pick crops, due to hopefully more school choice for all parents. Columnist Hannah Knudsen responded: “There is no evidence that championing school choice for parents and children – allowing children from failing schools to seek a better education elsewhere – would lead to slavery.” She also reminds us that this is apparently the same Congressman who had stated a couple of years ago, during a House Armed Services Committee hearing, that the nation of “Guam could capsize.” Just more liberal whining following the overwhelming presidential election loss, with the Left failing to have any rational policies or plans going forward.
And rounding out the opposition whine for now, Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett , appearing on MSNBC, is reported to have said the following: “Unfortunately, we have someone that is occupying the White House (i.e., duly-elected President Trump!), and as far as I’m concerned, he is an enemy to the United States (sounds a bit like ‘traitor’). I don’t know what it’s going to take to get people to wake up.” Well actually, Congresswoman, they did wake up. That’s why, thankfully, Donald Trump became our President with a landslide victory!!
A recent Gallup poll is “proof that the Democratic Party is in fact run by the faculty lounge and its progressive base.” Following October 7th which for some perverse reason led to a slew of campus & street based pro-Hamas protests, support for Israel among Democrats, says Gallup “has fallen by one-half to just 33%. Republican support, by contrast, has held steady at about 83%. It would seem like a great many among progressive Democrats have forgotten who attacked whom, slaughtering thousands on that regrettable October 7th day. Refresher: It was the terrorists who initiated the massacre and took innocent hostages, with apparently most of those not surviving their captivity.
Remember the Sunnova Energy Company? A name from the time in our recent history when euphoria captured the imagination of the U.S. executive branch, and the Biden-led team of climate frightened pseudo energy experts who began carelessly throwing gobs of taxpayer money at the purported magic of solar and wind power being able to replace supposed climate-change causing fossil fuels. The reality has come slowly and uncertainly. Sunnova appears to be running low on money, as the company “has substantial doubt” and that it can survive in business much longer. This news hits taxpayer wallets just “a year and a half after the Biden administration’s Department of Energy Loans Office closed on a $3-billion loan with the solar company, the largest federal loan to a solar company in history.” Clearly, the non-prudent feds, under White House political pressure, failed to recall that solar power revenue can only pour in when the sun shines, pretty much an elementary school level fact that smacks us when reality replaces fantasy. A clear example of pure elitist political pressure riding high over common sense. Emphasizing the prevailing attitude in D.C. that the nation’s vault was wide open for the color green, whenever it came time for mankind to presume to override Heaven’s climate.
As if those paying any attention could likely have guessed, based on a large study (over 108,000 patients), it’s now being reported that “depression doubled among men who underwent transgender surgery.” Anxiety, then, more than doubled. Female results showed similar increases in both depression and anxiety. Additionally, suicidal thought and drug addiction have also been shown to have increased. These results are in direct conflict with transgender activists who maintain that such medical treatments are presumed to be “life- saving forms of self-expression.” Making depression, et.al., an associated form of self-expression? Related issues with the whole pro-transgender phenomenon include young students being introduced to the subject, and even given encouragement, within primary schools without the requirement that patents be so advised. This remains an under-addressed issue among especially young Americans requiring more attention and action to block the persistent influence of pro-transitioning activists’ pressures, in and out of school rooms.
Any finally, in a seemingly bizarre take on the historic value of “migrants” in America, Hollywood’s Michael Moore expounds in an article on the potential; loss to our nation from deporting “migrants.” Wrote he: “Who’s really being removed by ICE tonight? The child who would’ve discovered the cure for cancer in 2046? The 9th grade nerd who would’ve stopped that asteroid that’s gonna hit us in 2032? Do we care?” Interesting but mis-stated speculation. For starters, you’ll notice that Mr. Moore refers only to “migrants.” He doesn’t bother to add the important designation, legal, to the term migrant, which would make his supposition perhaps credible. We give enduring credit to those legal immigrants who have come to America in the past and have contributed greatly to medical and overall scientific development for the benefit of both our nation and the world. As you and he both know full well, we are not deporting persons who may provide the knowledge for potentially stopping a future asteroids from striking our land, but rather we are in the process of getting rid of harmful terrorists and criminal illegals who have entered our country to continue their harmful ways and intents against our citizens and nation. The descriptive reality of which designation we’re really talking about here negates the author’s thesis (i.e., those welcome to America vs. those whom we’re thankfully throwing out).
